IN TRIBUTE TO THE IRREPLACEABLE 'SPIKE' MILLIGAN

In the land of the didgeridoo
 lived very black men,
 kangaroo,
and a scattering of cockatoo, too,

apart from their music, their painting and dancing
little happened to disturb their milieu
until men with white faces came to new places
where gold could be dug from the dirt

this changed for ever the old Never-Never,
as all black men found to their cost,
far from being real Australians
they'd become rather alien
in the land of their ancestral birth

in the land of the didgeridoo
not much is expected of you

in the land of the didgeridoo
a paradise was created for you

in the land of the didgeridoo
being black just won't do  !
