PAMELA STEPHENSON ... LATE DEVELOPER

I like women who are intellectually challenging.  In this, if in nothing else, the comedian Billy Connolly and I share common ground.  I write, of course, about his wife Pamela Stephenson.
The stunningly beautiful New Zealander married the outrageous Scotsman in 1979 and found fame on British television as a comedy actress.  She subsequently found a career better suited to her enquiring mind and natural empathy when she became a clinical psychologist ( PhD in 1996 and an honorary Doctorate in 2009 ).  It's a jolly good thing when people find their 'intellectual feet' later in life and have the determination to pursue a new career when a submerged talent breaks surface.

Her hugely talented husband must be very proud.
